Welcome to Cryptology

The 10th International Cryptology and Information Security Conference 2026 (CRYPTOLOGY2026) marks a significant milestone in advancing the research and application of cryptology in Malaysia. Through collaborative research and discussions with international counterparts, this conference serves as an open forum for contributions covering various aspects of cryptology, information security, and related technologies.

The 1st International Cryptology Workshop and Conference (CRYPTOLOGY2008) was held in 2008 and organized by INSPEM-UPM. CRYPTOLOGY2008 involved 3 other parties namely the School of Mathematical Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), CyberSecurity Malaysia and MSCR. It was held at the Putra World Trade Center (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur.

In 2010 the 2nd International Cryptology Conference (CRYPTOLOGY2010) was jointly organized by Univeristi Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), Center for Advance Software Engineering (CASE), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), INSPEM-UPM, CyberSecurity Malaysia and MSCR. It was held at the UNESCO World Heritage City -Malacca.

In 2012, the 3rd International Conference on Cryptology and Computer Security (CRYPTOLOGY2012) was jointly organized by the School of Mathematical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), INSPEM,-UPM, CyberSecurity Malaysia and MSCR. It was held at Langkawi Island which is a UNESCO endorsed geopark.

In 2014, the 4th International Cryptology and Information Security Conference (CRYPTOLOGY2014) is jointly organized by MSCR, School of Mathematical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Multimedia University (MMU), CyberSecurity Malaysia and INSPEM-UPM. It was held at Putrajaya.

In 2016, the 5th International Cryptology and Information Security Conference (CRYPTOLOGY2016) is jointly organized by MSCR, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, CyberSecurity Malaysia, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and INSPEM-UPM. It was held at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

In 2018, the 6th International Cryptology and Information Security Conference (CRYPTOLOGY2018) is jointly organized by MSCR, CyberSecurity Malaysia and INSPEM-UPM. It was held at Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan.

In 2020, the 7th International Cryptology and Information Security Conference 2020 (CRYPTOLOGY2020) is jointly organized by MSCR, CyberSecurity Malaysia and INSPEM-UPM. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference was held via video conferencing (Google Meet). The Chief Executive Officer of CyberSecurity Malaysia was invited to deliver the keynote speech for the benefit of all participants.

In 2022, the 8th International Cryptology and Information Security Conference 2022 (CRYPTOLOGY2022) is jointly organized by MSCR, CyberSecurity Malaysia and INSPEM-UPM. It was held at Putrajaya.

In 2024, the 9th International Cryptology and Information Security Conference 2024 (CRYPTOLOGY2024) is jointly organized by MSCR, CyberSecurity Malaysia, INSPEM-UPM and MIMOS.
